Sarah R. Carpenter 43, passed peacefully at her home and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 9, 2023.
Her family is very thankful and appreciative for the kind compassionate care she received from Patriot Hospice Care and Interim Home Health.
She is predeceased by her father John G. Melton, her brother Stephen M. Melton and other beloved family members. We can only try to imagine what a wonderful reunion took place in Heaven.
She is survived by her daughter Abigail L. Chapman and her two sons Grayson and Micah Jewell. She is also survived by her mother Jimmie E. Melton and her sister Margaret M. Kirkman.
Sarah took great pride in her children and was quick to brag on their accomplishments. She loved them dearly.
Sarah had a kind loving gentle way about her that was attractive to people and even animals. She was compassionate and gave unselfishly to the needs of others.
Her quick wit and sense of humor gave us many occasions for laughter. She enjoyed family gatherings on any occasion.
She took great delight in, and she had deep love for her nieces and nephews. Her great niece and nephew called her "RaRa" a name that she joyfully accepted and loved.
Sarah enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Her favorite flowers were tulips and roses. She loved sitting on the porch listening to the birds sing, petting the cats and watching the family dog roll in the grass on a sunny day.
In her life she faced many sorrows and difficulties and many uphill climbs during her life's journey but in the end, she won the victory, A Crown of Life.
May her life be an encouragement and testimony to us that remain that the victory is worth the struggle. She now rests in peace enjoying the splendors of her Heavenly Home with our memories of her resting in our hearts forever as well.
II Timothy 4: 7-8
I have fought the good fight I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is for me the Crown of Righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
