November 18, 1963 — January 26, 2025

Greenville, SC

Sandra Jean Taylor, a beacon of joy and resilience, passed away on January 26, 2025, in Greenville, SC. Born on November 18, 1963, in Punxsutawney, PA, Sandra's life was a testament to her humor, bravery, and selflessness.

Sandra's early years in Punxsutawney were filled with the warmth of a large and loving family. She was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Edith Pardee Taylor and grew up alongside her siblings, Thomas, Richard, the late Margi Nix, the late David, the late Jimmy, Kimberly of Georgia, Donny, Bill, Johnny, and Daniel. Her childhood was further enriched by the presence of her late grandmothers, Chubby Stout and Margaretta Palmer.

After moving to South Carolina, Sandra's life was blessed with the love of her devoted husband, Terry Carl Griffin. Together, they built a life full of laughter and cherished moments. Sandra's legacy is carried on by her loving children: April Fiedler (David) of Virginia, Dustin Carl Griffin, Casandra Cheyenne Griffin (Damon), and she was predeceased by her son, Brian Keith Gardner. Sandra's memory will also be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, Evelyn Winals, and her many nieces and nephews, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Sandra's passion for life was evident in her love for Clemson football, which she followed with fervor and pride. Her hands were rarely still, as she found solace and joy in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that will be treasured by those who received them. Wrestling with her son Dustin was not just a pastime but a cherished ritual that spoke volumes of their close bond. Above all, Sandra's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, where her humor and courage shone brightest.

Those who knew Sandra will remember her as the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a funny story to lighten the hearts of those around her. Her courage was quietly powerful, never more apparent than in the way she faced life's challenges head-on, without complaint. Sandra's selflessness was the golden thread that ran through her life, always putting the needs and happiness of others before her own.

Sandra's absence will be deeply felt by her brother-in-law, Johnny Neely, and her brother, Daniel Neely, who shared in many of life's adventures with her. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Isabella Marie Lancos, whose memory she held close to her heart.

As we bid farewell to Sandra Jean Taylor, we celebrate a life lived with boundless love, infectious laughter, and unwavering strength. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and her memory will be a comforting presence in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
