Sandra "Sandy" Lee Ford

Sandra Lee Ford, affectionately known as Sandy to her friends and family, passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 76 in Greer, SC. Born on March 19, 1948, in Greenville, SC, Sandy was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Sandy's journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Donovan Jay Allen and Grace Margaret Allen. Her warmth and compassion were a testament to the loving home in which she was raised. Sandy's life was one of devotion and service, not only to her faith as a dedicated Jehovah's Witness since 1964 but also to her beloved family. She found her greatest joy and purpose in being a stay-at-home mom to her three children, nurturing them with the same love and care she had known as a child.

Her husband, Greg Ford, stood by her side as her partner and best friend, sharing in the joys and challenges of life together. Sandy's legacy lives on through her children, Tony Hall (Heidi), Christy Howell (Michael), and Coty Ford (Stacey), who will forever cherish the memories and lessons imparted by their mother. Her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother was one she embraced with open arms, showering Brittany Lawrence, Bradleigh Burgess, Logan Hall, Dalton Ford, and Patelyn Crawford with unconditional love. The delight of her later years was witnessing the growth of her great-grandchildren, Zandon Lawrence, Kamdyn Waddell, Brennlee Waddell, Kolton Hall, and Kamryn Hall. 

Sandy's siblings, Mark Allen, Susan Gassaway, Tanya Brooks, and Maxine Allen, shared a bond with her that was unbreakable. Together, they celebrated life's milestones and supported each other through life's trials. The Allen family's unity and strength were a testament to the values instilled in them from a young age.

Throughout her life, Sandy's interests reflected her nurturing spirit. She had a passion for plants and flowers, finding solace and joy in the act of gardening. The beauty she cultivated in her garden was a reflection of the beauty she cultivated in her life. Her faith was an integral part of her existence, providing her with guidance and comfort. Sandy's commitment to her beliefs was unwavering, and she found fellowship and community within her congregation.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Sandy will remember her as the epitome of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Her gentle demeanor and selfless nature were evident in every interaction. Sandy's ability to listen with an open heart and offer words of encouragement made her a confidante and friend to many.
