Sandra Pilgrim lived her entire life a fighter and true survivor. She was tiny in size with a huge heart and tons of love she shared with many. She has loved and raised not only her own children but most of her grandchildren and bonus kids along her way. She was the kind of woman who would help anyone she could. No matter what she had an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on and some judgement Free advice on this thing called life. She had a love for gardening and a mighty green thumb, she could grow anything anywhere. She touched so many lives in her 73 years and will be greatly missed by all who encountered her. Her wild and free spirit will NEVER be forgotten.
Sandra Pilgrim was many things in life. She was intelligent, witty, bold, kind, but she was also Home. Sandra was the home though many of us didn’t choose, she was the home we needed. She was quick to point out when we were wrong, but quicker to forgive us always. Sandra taught us many things but what she taught most of us was that our journey is our own and to be kind on our paths. Sandra Pilgrim was known to many of us as Nanny not only because of her occupation in her past, but because she took a significant nurturing role in all of our lives. Nanny will be severely missed but we shall always have a home in her heart, even beyond this realm. That she will leave a light on the porch to guide us as she watches over us and that one day we will return to that sweet home.
