Sandra Jean Land

February 20, 1952 — August 10, 2023

Sandra Jean Land, known to all as Jean, has left the building. Born on February 20, 1952, she decided to make her grand exit on August 10, 2023, proving once again that she had impeccable timing. Jean was a Greenville, SC native, through and through, born there, lived there, and finally, took her final bow there.
Jean was a proud graduate of Carolina High School in Greenville, SC. After graduation, Jean took her talents to Stone Manufacturing Company. Jean was employed by Stone Manufacturing from 1980 to 1989. During this time, she worked in the Finishing Department, Design Department, and Personnel Department.
Jean was a woman of many passions. She loved shopping, probably because she knew she looked good in everything. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated fan of Days of Our Lives and Bonanza, proving that she had a wide range of tastes in television, from dramatic soap operas to cowboy shootouts. Jean had a soft spot for animals, fast cars, and a good-looking man, not necessarily in that order. She loved and music and could cut a rug with the best of them. Chubby Checker’s “The Twist” was one of her many favorites.

Jean was a generous soul and had a fun sense of humor. She was thoughtful, remembering birthdays,
anniversaries, and memorable moments with her family and friends. She was independent and courageous, never backing down from a challenge or a sale at her favorite store.

She is survived by her daughter, Regina Ann Land, who inherited her mom's love for shopping and good-looking men; her son, Richard Kenneth Ingle, Jr., who thankfully, did not inherit his mom's love for Days of Our Lives; and her grandson, Tyler Jayden Lafferty, who is the only one in the family she felt could do no wrong and could get away with just about anything.

In conclusion, Jean was a one-of-a-kind woman who lived life on her own terms. She was a rock in her
community, a beacon of laughter and joy, and she will be sorely missed. So, here's to Jean, a woman who lived, laughed, and loved with all her heart. May we all strive to be a little more like Jean.
