Sandra Ruth Henderson

Sandra Ruth (Bowen) Henderson, 67, of Greenville, SC, passed away on May 4, 2015, at St. francis Hospital, due to a ruptured brain anuerism. Sandra was born on November 18, 1947 to James M. and Mary R. Bowen.  She was a homemaker and caregiver for most of her life.  She helped to raiseand care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved her family and would never say no to a person in need.

Sandra is survived by one brother, Randall Bowen, and one sister, Donna Harden (Dennis); four children, Anthony McElrath (Cathy), Teresa Dismuke, Freddie Sentell, Sr. and Bobby Smith (Tina); fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Sandra is predeceased by her mother and father; one brother, J. Martin Bowen and one sister, Louise Smith; one son, Wade McElrath and one grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Westville Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00AM with a service to follow at 12:00PM.
