Samuel James Patterson

Samuel James Patterson, 65, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on August 10, 2021. Born in Gaston, North Carolina he was the son of the late Ralph J. Patterson and Martha Sue Isles. Survivors include his children; Amy (Keith) Bolick, Jennifer (John) Patton, his siblings: Bo (Kim) Patterson, Josphine (Eddie) Willis, Magdalene (Dean) Deel, Sheila Williams, Pam (Scott) Boyd, Delois (Gary) Stanley, Dollie (Doug) Fleming, Summie Patterson, and Ralph Patterson. Other survivors include his grandchildren: Taylor Lee, Cody Lee, Austin Harris, Sarah Harris, Trey Patton, Keith, Landon, Shelby, Adam, and Josiah. Samuel was predeceased by siblings; Rosa, William, Jim, and Gloria Patterson, his daughter, Barbara Jean Patterson, and granddaughter, Jordyn Patton. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Sally. A Veteran of the US ARMY he was of the Christian Faith. Sam loved the Lord, volunteering at the VA and the Church food bank, and his family! A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 14, 2021, at Turning Point Free Will Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Pastors Cody Lee and Todd Black to officiate.
