Samuel Joseph Hill Jr.

Samuel Joseph Hill Jr., affectionately known as Sam Joe or Joe Hill, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2023, in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. Born on June 19, 1970, he lived a life full of love, laughter, and thoughtfulness, leaving a lasting impression on all he encountered.

Joe was the beloved son of the late Samuel Joseph Hill Sr. and Susan Dillard Tollitson, who survives him. He was a cherished husband to Marry Lynn Tillman, a loving brother to Amber Long, and a caring stepbrother to Stephen Tollitson. He was also a doting uncle to Olivia and Noah Long, and a proud grandfather to Ashlynn Brylee Jackson. His family was a source of great joy and pride, and he loved them deeply.

Joe was educated at a local college, where he earned an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology. He dedicated his professional life to serving others at Carolina Spine and Pain, where he was known for his compassion and commitment to his patients. His colleagues remember him as a diligent worker who brought a sense of humor and positivity to the workplace.

Joe had a zest for life that was infectious. He was an avid golfer, often spending his weekends on the greens, perfecting his swing. He also loved to travel, exploring new places with his wife and friends. His adventurous spirit and love for fun were evident in all he did. He had a knack for turning ordinary moments into memorable ones, filling them with laughter and love.

Joe was known for his loving nature, his sense of humor, and his thoughtful demeanor. He had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel special and loved.
