Sallie McMakin Barron

Dr. Sallie Elizabeth Barron (McMakin) 71, of Greenville, SC, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 in Greenville, SC after a prolonged illness. She was born on October 6, 1946 in Greenville, SC, She was a long term resident in South Carolina.  She was a member of Sans Souci Baptist Church. Before retiring she was employed by Department of Justice, Federal of Prisons. She will be remembered for going above and beyond in most of what she did. She will be remembered as a lady who was kind, caring, loving, and giving. She was known for helping others, spending time outdoors, working in her yard, and with her animals.

Sallie is preceded in death by her parents, James Eston and Janie Pearle McMakin of Greenville, SC. Those who will most cherish her memory are her son Eston Troy Groome, of Greenville, SC; her daughter, Lawren Barron Agard (Justin) of Taylors, SC, three grandchildren, Cidney, Jathan and Savana Agard. Sallie is  also survived by “adopted nieces”, Kayla Beam Redd, Jessica Alayne Beam and Amee Kelley Nation, along with her cousins and extended family.
