It is with a hopeful heart and an uplifted spirit that we celebrate the extraordinary life of Ruth Ellen Stanley, who lived a fulfilling 92 years from August 6th, 1931 to October 18th, 2023. Born in the quaint town of Salem, Ohio, Ruth later found her forever home in Easley, South Carolina, where she passed into eternal rest.
Ruth was a beacon of light, illuminating the lives of her beloved husband, Dwaine Stanley, with whom she shared an enduring love story of 72 years. He even sold his pig in order to buy her engagement ring. She is also survived by her cherished children - Karen Upson (Don), Joyce Kiepura (Bob), the late Rick Stanley (Robin), Randy Stanley (Denise), and Barb Nichols. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Dan Nichols. Ruth's legacy continued to thrive through her 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, each of whom she loved deeply and prayed for daily.
Ruth was a high school graduate and a dedicated homemaker, creating an environment of love, care, and warmth for her family. Her home was not just a dwelling place but a sanctuary filled with faith, joy, and the aroma of her love. Ruth’s contributions to her family and community were immeasurable, as she devoted her life to nurturing those around her, a testament to her unwavering dedication and love for her family.
