Russell "Rusty" Brian Tolbert

Russell "Rusty" Brian Tolbert, son of the late Charles and Lillian Tolbert, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 8, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy Scruggs Tolbert; his sons, Josh, BJ (Tanisha), Steven (Katelyn), and David (Brittany); his two brothers, Mark and Andy; his grandchildren, Aden, Avree, Annabelle, Izabella, Michael, and Adeline; his cousin Patti "Cake"; and many nieces and nephews.

Russell, affectionately known as "breadman" to the community, was known and loved by many. He ran a bread route for over forty years, and made many friendships along the way. He was kind, compassionate, hard-working, and he loved to spend time with his family - especially his grandchildren. His grandchildren were his world.

He loved animals, and he loved sports. Every Saturday, he'd find a way to keep up with his beloved Clemson Tigers. He'd watch the game every chance he got, and if he couldn't be in front of a TV, he'd be sure to catch the game on the radio while running his bread route.

He leaves his friends and family with many happy memories from years of love and friendship. He'll be cheering on his Tigers from heaven - Go Tigers!
