Russell "Rusty" McDowell Jr.

Russell "Rusty" Gene McDowell, Jr., 65, of Landrum, South Carolina passed away on April 12, 2021. Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Russell Gene McDowell, Sr. and Joyce Timmons McDowell who still survives Rusty. Survivors include his wife of the home Donna McDowell, his children; Brittany (Justin) McDowell, Amanda (Terry) Caldwell, Trey McDowell, and Ashley McDowell, other survivors include five grandchildren, and a sister Kay McDowell.
Rusty enjoyed horseshoe tournaments, hiking, scuba diving, and was an avid nature lover.
The family is at the home of Gary Vanderford, 305 Silhouette Trace, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
