Ruby D Manley

Ruby Downer Manley, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2016. She was born August 19, 1924 in Montgomery County, NC to the late John Bunyon and the late Jennie Bell (Mills) Downer. She was retired from Franklin Dyed Yarns, and a long-time member of Overbrook Baptist Church.
She is survived by her caregiver and husband of nearly 43 years, Ronnie Jerry Manley. Also surviving are three brothers, Thomas Downer of Hampton GA; John Paul Downer of North Myrtle Beach, SC; and Samuel Downer of Chesapeake, VA, and two sisters: Betty Jean Milliken of Wilmington, NC and Joy Bell Benton of Leland, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
The family will receive friends on June 1 in the Woodlawn Remembrance Chapel at 1 pm followed by the funeral service beginning at 2 pm. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
