Roy Clarence Riggs Sr.

Roy Clarence Riggs Sr., 66, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.  He was born in Norfolk, VA and a long time resident of Marietta, SC.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elaine; son Roy C Riggs Jr., daughter Jennifer Barnette and son-in-law Rick Barnette.  Brothers Lloyd (Al) Riggs and Michael Riggs.  Sister-in-law Nina Patterson, step-father Charlie (Harry) Jones and three special nephews.  Family in love- sisters Jean Wilson and Judy McCarson, daughter Margaret Roberts, son-in-law Jim Roberts, grandchildren in love, Kendra Roberts and Jake Willet, (Amanda) great grandson in love, Ayden.  Two special friends, Greg Bobo and Thom Lightle, Jr.

Roy is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Riggs Jones, his father, Alton Riggs and special nephew, David Dix.

Roy loved being outdoors, gardening, racing, sharing his quick wit and humor with his friends and family and spending time with his beloved dog and companion, Boone.

The family will be receiving friends Saturday Aug 9th from 2pm-3pm with Memorial Service to follow.
