Roy Lee Owens, of Pickens SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 11, 2023. He is survived by his companion Johnnie Mae Bryant; his daughter, Elaine Plumier; and several grandchildren.
Roy was a good man who loved to have fun. He could spin a good story, loved to tell jokes, and it brought him joy to see others laugh. Roy loved baseball, and was always glued to the TV watching his beloved Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed watching wrestling, was a fan of Nature Boy Ric Flair, and even named his cat after Flair's daughter, Charlotte. Roy was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed the peace and tranquility of a good hunt or a nice day fishing on the lake.
Roy was a friend to everyone he met, and he will be deeply missed.
