Roy M Brock

Roy Michael “Mike” Brock, born in Anderson, SC on June 3, 1957, to the late Roy and Ruth Brock of Honea Path, SC. Mike passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.
He is survived by his daughter, April Moore; two grandchildren, Makella and Justin Shirley; and a sister, Shirley Cox.
Mike lived a very full life and was brave enough to do whatever he desired for the majority of it. He was accomplished in electrical work, HVAC, and construction. He had the skills and knowledge to build a house by himself, and he could do most anything he attempted. As a young man, he enjoyed rebuilding fast cars.
Mike was quite witty and loved to laugh, play guitar, watch Clemson football, watch NASCAR, and fish. As a former member of a rock and roll garage band named “Revenge”, he transferred his love of guitar to his grandson, Justin, by teaching him how to play. He was a warm man and always said “I love you” before saying goodbye, just as he did the day prior to his passing. He loved and protected his family with fierceness and without apology.
At his request, there will not be a funeral service. Donations may be made in his honor to Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Family and friends will celebrate his life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 PM at his daughter’s home in Anderson.
