Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of 92.

She was born March 2, 1933, in Dale County, Alabama. She was raised in New Brockton where she spent many years working on the family farm. June was the cherished daughter of the late Marcus J. and Bessie Evelyn Beasley Thompson.

June loved working in the yard, planting thousands of flowers in her lifetime. She was active in the church and her community. She enjoyed cooking for her family, trying new recipes, and sharing meals together. June also enjoyed painting, watching Bob Ross, capturing memories with every brush stroke. She loved the holidays, dressing up, and making decorations for every occasion. She added color to her life whenever she could by decorating her home, collecting costume jewelry, and sewing her own clothes. She also enjoyed flower arranging, building miniatures, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, square dancing, doll making, and all kinds of crafts. Over the years, June handmade many gifts for her friends and family. She embodied a “can do” attitude. You could always count on June to provide wisdom and give you good advice. Her kindness, strength, and determination were evident in every aspect of her life.

We will strive to carry her values and qualities forward in our lives. Her love encompasses our family even though she is not physically here. We will continue to share her stories, we will laugh, cry, and find comfort in knowing that her memory lives on in each of us.

A celebration of her life will take place at 4 Points Church, 2355 Hwy 101 South, Suite G, Greer, SC 29651 on April 4, 2025, from 5-7pm.
