Ronnie Ledale Gunnells, 48, of Greenville, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022. A native of Hartwell, GA, he was the son of Jesse Gunnells, Sr. and Sallie Floyd Holmes. Ronnie was a welder for Landmark Building, Scott Campbell (Boss and friend), and Pete McCall (Partner and Friend). He was of the Baptist Faith. He was loved by family, friends, coworkers, friends, and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Gunnells, Sr.; brother, Jesse Gunnells, Jr. and mother-in-law, Sheila Hale.
He is survived by his wife, Wakina Hale Gunnells; children, Jason Gunnells, William Gunnells, Caryssma Gunnells, Zander Gunnells, Summer Powell, and Brandon Powell; adopted son, Matt Thomason; mother, Sallie Mae Floyd Holmes; grandchildren, Aryah Shrewsbury and Itzayana Hernandez; sister, Tonya Harrington; brothers-in-law, Fred (Krystal) Hale, Matt Hale, and Chuck McCoig; father-in-law, Freddy Hale; nieces, LaVaye Hale, Gracye Hale, Mattie Pitts, and Julie Bond; nephews, Daniel Hickman, Lil Jesse Gunnells, and Jace Norris; and beloved cat, Baby Girl – she misses her daddy.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 10th in the chapel of Westville Funerals. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30pm until the service. His pallbearers will be Brandon Powell, Matt Hale, Fred Hale, Brent Henry, Jace Norris, Jake Lykens, Justin Fricks, Orlin Hernandez, and Lee Cobb. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery West.
