Ronald "Ron" Wehner, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Greenville, SC and was born on July 24, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI. Ron's life was marked by his friendly demeanor, intelligent mind, and generous spirit, which touched the lives of all who knew him.
Ron was the beloved husband of Patricia Jean Klinke, with whom he shared a life full of love and adventure. Together, they raised wonderful children, Kim (Bart), Julie (Scott), Alix, and Kirk (Bettina) who remember their father as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support. Ron's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Amanda Kee, and Wesley Haigwood, and his adored great-granddaughter, Isabella Hur. Each of them carries a piece of Ron's kind heart and wisdom.
Professionally, Ron was a respected human resource professional whose career took him and his family to Brussels, Belgium, for seven years. This experience abroad enriched their lives and broadened their horizons. Ron's colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and insight, who always had time to listen and offer guidance.
Ron's interests were as varied as they were passionate. An amateur artist, he found joy and solace in the act of creation, often sharing his works with friends and family. His dedication to his faith was evident in his 30-year membership at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, where he was also a member of the choir, lifting his voice in praise and worship.
Travel and fine dining were among Ron's favorite pursuits, and he often reminisced about the places he had visited and the meals he had enjoyed. These experiences were not just about the destinations or the cuisine, but about the people he met and the conversations he shared.
Ron's life was a testament to the power of kindness, intelligence, and generosity. He had the rare ability to make everyone feel like they mattered, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy to his family, friends, and community.
As we bid farewell to Ronald Wehner, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ron's journey on earth has ended, but his spirit remains a beacon of light in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
