Mr. Ronald “Ron” Evans Hughes

Ronald "Ron" Evans Hughes formerly of Mooresville, NC passed away on May 11, 2018 while residing at The Woodlands at Furman in Greenville, SC. Ron was born on September 1, 1941 in Athens, TN to Naomi Hicks Hughes and Chester Evans Hughes. Ron and his wife Judy both shared a passion for travel and a deep love of family and their beloved pets. He had an inquisitive mind with a creative soul. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Naomi & Chester Hughes, his sister Janet Roberts and his beloved wife Judy. He is survived by his children Stefannie Painter and husband David, Sean Hughes and wife Michelle; and grandsons, Montgomery and Camden Hughes. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 on Sunday May 20 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Parkinson's Foundation PO Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018 and/or American Cancer Society PO Box 100902 Columbia, SC 29290-9002.
