Ronald Edward Filteau, 64, left this earth to the loving arms of our Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his home in Simpsonville, SC following a two year battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his wife of 16 years, Barbara (Hill) Filteau, his daughter Trisha Makarewicz, his brothers, Richard Filteau, Leo Filteau, Louis Filteau, step children, Syreeta Hasting, Tiffany Jones, Ken Tilley, Kristin Martin, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many close friends.
Born in Berlin, NH, the son of Norman and Yvette (Arsenault) Filteau.
He grew up in Lowell, Ma and graduated from Lowell (Trade) Reginal Voc-Tech High School in 1971 and also attended Boston University. He was employed by Copley Consulting Group.
He was a ride captain for the NH Patriot Guard Riders, proudly displaying his patriotism, love, and honor for America’s Veterans. He belonged to Southern Cruisers Riding Club Coastal Chapter 133 and Gold Wing Riders Assoc. NH Chapter A.
There will be a Celebration of his Life on September 23, 12-3 pm at 19 Harvey Drive in Goffstown, NH. In Lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to : NH Patriot Guard Riders at Post Office Box 16273, Hooksett, NH 03106 or Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
