Ronald T. Davis, 78, of Greenville passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Born in Greenville, SC on November 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Eugene Fred Davis and Della Hamilton Davis. Ronald was a faithful member of Marathon Community Church. He was a member of the first graduating class of Carolina High School (now Carolina Academy) in 1959.
Ronald worked in the shipping department of Indian Head Yarn Company, before then working with Bunny Bread (Best Bakeries) for almost thirty years as a salesman and sales supervisor. After Bunny Bread was sold, he worked for Sunbeam Bread until retirement, He was a dedicated, affectionate, caring and hard worker who was loved very much by his coworkers and brought great strengths to others.
Survivors include his two sons, Reggie (Renee) Davis, of Fountain Inn, SC, and Jonathan Davis (Darla) of Easley, SC. He is also survived by sisters, Sylvia King and Evelyn (Rev. Gary) Lockee, grandchildren, Jake and Abby Davis of Fountain Inn. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Caroline Davis, who is already in Heaven and awaiting the arrival of her grandfather and others. He is also predeceased by brothers, Charles, Lawrence, and Dickie Davis, and one sister, Edna Buchanon. Ronald is also survived by a very special cousin, Gail Fain, of Greenville, and special friends, Madison, Camilla, & Darren Jameson, Al and Elaine Wilson, all of Easley.
A funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday, October 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Westville Funeral Home. The fanily will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11:00am. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
