Roger Dale Weldon

Roger Dale Weldon, 59, of Anderson South Carolina went to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, March 16, 2019.

Roger was born July 1, 1959 in Hartwell Georgia. He was a 1977 graduate of McDuffie high school. He served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps where he reached the rank of Lance Corporal. By trade, Roger worked in textiles, construction, and carpentry.

Roger was an avid fisherman who loved spending time on the lake and was always looking to catch the next big one. He loved his family and friends very much. He was always the jokester and prankster. Roger was always happy and had a smile for everyone.

Roger is survived by three sisters Cathy Moore (Danny), Karon Wentzky (Keith), and Carolyn Jones, great aunt and uncle Brenda and Whitner Bowen, 7 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews, as well as his special friend Letitia King.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Dorsey Weldon and Pauline Bowen Weldon as well as his two older brothers Jackie and Jimmy Weldon.

Celebration of life will take place Sunday March 24, 2019 @2 pm at Homeland Park Church of God 219 West Roosevelt Drive Anderson, SC 29626. The family will then gather at the home of Carolyn Jones at 117 Fyffe Drive Anderson, SC 29625.
