Roger Crain

Roger William Crain, Sr., age 72, husband of Ruth Tammen Crain went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2016. Roger died peacefully at Hosanna Health and Rehab of Piedmont. He was surrounded by his wife and children.
Roger’s devotion to his wife remained loving and constant. He set an example of family love for his two sons. Roger’s love for his family was unsurpassed and was the most important aspect of his life. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Roger retired after working 54 years as an electrician. He was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Roger never met a stranger and was unselfish with helping others.
Roger was born in Clinton, SC in June 1943. He and Ruth married on his birthday in 1964.
Roger is survived by his wife of 51 years; his sons: Billy (Paige) and Michael (Christie); also by his uncle: Richard Crain; sister: Betty Scheiner and brother: Paul Craine. He has four grandchildren: Chase, Eden, Beau, and Nathan. He is preceded in death by his father: William Eugene Crain; mother: Lucille Cannon Warren and sister: Kay Thompson.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm at New Life Baptist Church located at 2691 W. Blue Ridge Dr. in Greenville, SC. A private burial service for family will be held at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, SC.
