Luther was the son of the late Bob Hubbard and was predeceased by his wife, Ann Hubbard, and his sister, Connie Smith. He is survived by his son, Shane Hubbard, and his daughter, Robin Hubbard. His family will remember him as a loving father and a steadfast pillar of support.

Luther was a proud graduate of Griffin High School. After graduation, he served his country with honor and dedication in the Navy. His time in the service instilled in him a deep sense of discipline and respect for others, traits that he carried with him throughout his life.
