Robert Douglas Holmes

Robert Douglas Holmes, a loving, kind, and friendly man entered into eternal rest on July 22, 2023. Born on November 10, 1982, to the late Marshall Douglas Holmes and surviving mother, Patricia McNair Holmes, Robert personified the love he was bestowed.

Robert endured an irreplaceable loss with the death of his revered grandfather, Clyde Douglas "Doug" Holmes. However, he was fortunate to have been surrounded by love and care from his late grandmothers, Tommie Dudly Holmes and Mary Widemon McNair, and his maternal grandfather, Robbie "Dob" McNair. The presence of his devoted sister, Christy Holmes, and the exuberance of his beloved niece and two nephews - Christopher, Dakota, and Kira Holmes, filled his life with innumerous joyous moments.

Robert immersed himself in various hobbies such as metal recycling, and earned a reputation as a vinegar connoisseur. A food enthusiast, he cherished eating out and never missed a chance to savor new culinary delights. He frequently visited family and friends, leaving a fragrance of affection in his wake. He enjoyed a special relationship with his church, Sand Ridge Baptist Church, where he worshipped faithfully.

Fondly known for never meeting a stranger, Robert, embodied an infectious spirit that warmly embraced those in his life. Remembered by an extended family of numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins, Robert’s love and kindness will continue to illuminate their hearts.
