Robert " Bob " Eugene Holden

Robert “Bob” Eugene Holden, 76, husband of Derrill Waters Holden, of Greenville, passed away on July 31, 2017. He was born in Anderson, SC to the late James Walter and Eloise Pritchard Barton. Mr. Holden served our country in the United States Marine Corp. before retiring from Michelin Tire Corporation.

In addition to his loving wife of 55 years he is survived by his daughter Nan Harrison (Rick) of Piedmont, and son Scott Holden (Rhonda) of Travelers Rest; granddaughter Magan Harrison (Steven) of Piedmont; grandson Cory Harrison of Easley; great-granddaughter Jaedyn Harrison of Piedmont, great grandson Jaxen Stricklin of Piedmont, sisters Gaynette Barton of Simpsonville, Sandy Helms of Easley, Brenda McCombs of Greenville, Tina Powell of Greenville, sister-in-law; Eva Leary (Leslie) of Greenwood, Melinda Waters of Greenville, Jencey Waters of Greenville, brother in law Yogi Waters of Greenwood. He was also survived and adored by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter Jenna Holden, step-father, Thomas Barton, Sr. and his brothers; Thomas Barton Jr. and Larry Barton, sisters; Louise Thacker and Linda Bryant.

A Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 1PM at Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Spring Park Assisted Living, Travelers Rest, for the loving care they provided for Mr. Holden.
