Rita L. Minihan, 47, of Greenville, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018. Born on August 27, 1970 in Norwich, Connecticut to her parents, Stephen S. Minihan and Louise Marie Ange (Boulais) Minihan, she was a longtime resident of the upstate, she graduated from South College in Asheville with her nursing degree, she worked as a nurse in the medical industry and she attended New Spring Church in Powdersville.
Rita is preceded in death by her brother, Roger Minihan who lived in Anderson. Those who will most cherish her memory are her father, Stephen Minihan, who is widowed of Pendleton, South Carolina; her mother, Louise Silvey and her husband, Roger of Spartanburg, South Carolina; her sister, Stephanie Minihan and her fiance, Josh Austin of Easley, South Carolina; her one and only nephew, Sawyer J. Austin of Easley; her step brothers, whom she loved as her brothers, Robert McClure, Richard McClure and John McClure. Rita is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and more friends than anyone could ever want. She was loved by many and will be missed by even more.
A gathering of Rita’s family and friends for a time of comfort and reflection will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Road in Greenville, South Carolina. Services to remember and honor her life will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Westville Funerals.
