Rita was the beloved wife of Ronny Bridgeman and the cherished mother of Billy R. West. She was a doting grandmother to Bailey Wes and Carley Lepage, and a proud mother-in-law to Justin Lepage. Rita's joy was further multiplied by the birth of her great-granddaughter, Harley Lepage. She was predeceased by her mother, Francis Alexander, and her brother, Robert Johnson. Rita also held a special place in her heart for her brother-in-law, Jimmy Bridgeman, sister-in-law, Owen Bridgeman, niece-in-law, Lil Bridgeman, and brother-in-law, Scott Bridgeman.
Rita graduated from Greenville Tech and embarked on a fulfilling career that spanned several decades. She was a dedicated employee at Canteen Services and Flag Star for 25 years. Her commitment to service continued at Carolina Blood Connection, where she worked for seven years. Rita's diligence and dedication were hallmarks of her professional life, and she was highly regarded by her colleagues and associates.
Despite her busy work life, Rita always found time to pursue her interests. She was an accomplished picture framer and a skilled stained-glass artist. Her creations were a testament to her creativity and artistic flair. They brought beauty into the lives of those around her and will continue to be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to receive them.
Rita was a woman of strong character and immense heart. She was a devoted wife to Ronny for 34 years, and their love story was one for the ages.
