Richard L. Stamey Sr.

Richard Stamey, 88, husband of Nelda Stamey passed away Saturday, September 19th, 2020 following an extended illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry Lee Stamey and Anna Dee Stamey; a brother, Jim Stamey and sister-in-law, Jackie Stamey.
He is survived by wife of sixty-one years, son Richard Stamey, Jr. (Valerie) of Greenville, SC, brother Harry Stamey of Canton, NC and sister-in-law, Peggy Stamey of Cary, NC.
After his tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps, Dick entered and graduated from Western Carolina University and spent most of his career working for JP Stevens with assignments in Wallace, NC, Greensboro, NC and Greenville, SC. The family express a special thanks to Interim Health Care and their doctors and nurses at Bon Secour Hospital.
Condolences may be left for the family by visiting the Cremation Society of SC-Westville.
A Graveside Service for the family will be held at a later date.
