Richard Ennis Kitterman, 82, passed away on November 17, 2015. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, he has been a Greenville resident since the sixties and for the past thirty years has lived on Saluda Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Almeda Kitterman, and two brothers, Eugene Kitterman and Robert Kitterman.
Richard is survived by his wife, Martha Holaday Kitterman, three children: Steve Kitterman (Kathy), Bradley Kitterman (Maggie) and Karen Gallagher (Jody), six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by three stepchildren: Phil Hamilton, Holly Jackson (James) and Katie Hamilton and five step grandchildren.
Richard was self-employed for many years having worked in both computer hardware and software. He was an avid lover of jazz music and for many years enjoyed being the drummer with various ensembles. Recently he had been drummer for the Upstate Senior Band and Jazz Group.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Upstate Senior Band, in care of Greenville Senior Action Center at 50 Directors Drive, Greenville, SC, 29615.
