Richard Dean Forrester

Richard Dean Forrester, 84, passed away on January 16th, 2021. A lifelong resident of Mauldin, South Carolina, Richard worked as a siding contractor his whole life until he retired at the age of 62. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Often, you could find Richard working in his garden, training his prize-winning beagles, watching westerns, or playing horseshoes in the yard with family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Faye Forrester and beloved daughter, Sandra Brown. Surviving are three daughters; Nancy Hembree (Randall), Jodean Gosnell, Mary Jumper (Steve); four sons, Roger Forrester, JB Forrester (Genie), Colt Forrester, Tip Forrester (Linda); 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 21st at Cremation Society of SC- Westville Funerals located at 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC. A memorial service will immediately follow inside the chapel at 2 PM. Friends are invited to join the family graveside directly following the service at Graceland Memorial Cemetery West 4814 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina.
