Richard Thurston Dean

Richard Thurston Dean, 69, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away at his home on May 8, 2022. He was the son of the late Max and Vernie Dean, born in Diboll, Texas, on February 17, 1953. Richard was a proud veteran of the U.S Airforce in which he served twenty-one years as a dedicated aircraft mechanic and crew chief until retiring. After the military, he worked for Bosch/Rexroth as a CNC operator until retirement. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of forty-eight years Omnuway (Gail) Dean; children: Jody Dean, Starla Devlin, and Max Dean; grandchildren: Abigal, Jaime, Braylon, and Kendall; brothers: Larry Dean and Stephen Dean; and sister Cindy Brown.
A memorial service will be held on May 25, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals.
