Rebecca Fay Sibert

Rebecca Faye Sibert, a beacon of love and wisdom, passed away peacefully at her home on February 18, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on March 6, 1953, in Anderson, South Carolina, Rebecca was a woman whose fiery personality and blunt, yet passionate, approach to life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Rebecca, affectionately known as Becky to her friends and family, was a proud graduate of Wren High School. Her commitment to nurturing others shone brightly through her work as a mentor and foster parent, in which she provided guidance and love to many over the years. Her dedication to family and community was unwavering, and her influence as a matriarch will be felt for generations to come.

Rebecca's life was rich with interests that brought her joy and fulfillment. She cherished moments spent with her family, especially her granddaughters, Molly Miller and Timera Middleton, who were the apples of her eye. Shopping and fine dining were among her favorite pastimes, and she always held a desire to travel and explore the world. Rebecca's passion for life was contagious, and her presence was a source of comfort and inspiration.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Victoria Sibert, Felicia Browning, Chonnie Sibert, and Ashley Bustamante, who will continue to honor her legacy by embodying the values she instilled in them. Rebecca was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Sibert, and her cherished children, Roslyn Sibert and Kevin Sibert. Her memory will also be treasured by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will miss her deeply.

Rebecca was the daughter of the late Tommy Dan Aye and Maggie Aye and was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Jo Edwards, Laura Jean Hagood, Mary Ann Brownlee, Martha Smith, Viola Ellis, Rudolph Aye, Bobby Aye, and Tommy Dan Aye, Jr. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her loved ones who have passed before her.
