Rebecca "Becky" Ball

 Rebecca “Becky” Ball passed April 17, 2025 at the age 78 in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. She lived most of her life in Hendersonville, North Carolina and had been living in Taylors, South Carolina for the past 3 years. She attended Reedy River Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time in a community of believers. She savored spending sunny days on the lake with a good book and her family. She was passionate about quilting and reconnecting with friends. She took great care in knowing people deeply and never met a stranger. Everyone who was lucky to know and love her knew that her lively personality and caring spirit spoke more about her than words could ever express.

She is preceded in death by her father Haskell Heaton, her mother Helen Holtzclaw Orr, her sister Miriam King, her husband Richard Ball, and an infant son Charles Dillard. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Stewart; her beloved children Edwin (Sonya) Dillard Jr., Renee (Jabbo) Privette, Sabrina (Brandon) Smith; grandchildren Danielle (Terence) Moore, Brad Dillard, Jordan (Alex) Miller, Christopher Dillard, Adam Smith, Bree Smith, Kelsey Smith, Ellory Smith; two great granddaughters Amelia and Sadie Moore; her many close friends; and her cherished cats Allie and Sammy.

While her family welcomes your visits and condolences, at Becky’s request there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Greenville County Animal Care or an animal rescue or shelter of your choosing.
