Randy Bryant, a single Father, who could light up a room with his wit, charm, and love for life, was born on May 14, 1960, in South Carolina, and he continued to light up our lives until he passed away at home in Greenville, SC on September 2, 2023. Known as Randy to all, he was a man of many talents, but his greatest gift was his ability to make people laugh and feel loved.
Randy was the beloved brother of Michael Bryant (Anita) and a proud father to his sons Randy Bryant Jr (Amber), Jonathan Bryant (Janna), and Joey Bryant (Nikki), and daughters Sonya Bryant and Elizabeth Bryant Brown (Brad). He was a doting grandfather to twenty-seven grandchildren. His parents, Carroll, and Mildred Bryant, along with his granddaughter Marilyn Brown, preceded him in death.
Randy was a proud alumnus of Greer High School, where he was voted 'most likely to crack a joke.' He carried that sense of humor into his professional life, making every day a joy for his co-workers at Maurices Cafe and Orkin Pest Control. Randy was the kind of guy who might just show up to a formal meeting in a Chicken Suit, just to lighten the mood.
Randy was a die-hard Gamecock fan, often seen cheering on his team with gusto, especially if they defeated Clemson. His love for games extended beyond sports. He was an expert at puzzles, and often told jokes and funny stories about his family. His love for playfulness was infectious, spreading to his family as he often organized game nights that were filled with laughter and love.
Randy's creative spirit was evident in his love for crafting stories, often keeping his grandkids entertained for hours with his imaginative tales. He was a man who could turn a mundane trip to the grocery store into an epic adventure.
He was also loving, always there with a comforting word or a shoulder to lean on. He was a pillar of strength for his family and friends, always ready with a joke to lighten the heart or a hug to provide comfort.
He was a man who lived his life to the fullest, never shying away from a challenge or a chance to make someone smile. His sense of humor was his superpower, allowing him to navigate life's difficulties with grace and laughter. As we remember Randy, let us remember to laugh, to love, and to live with the same joy and spirit that he did.
So, here is to Randy Bryant, a man who lived, laughed, and loved with all his heart. He may have left us, but his laughter will echo in our hearts forever. He was a one-of-a-kind man, and we are all better for having known him. As we say goodbye to Randy, let us remember to keep laughing, because that is what he would have wanted.
