Ramon Antonio Emilio Cruz Rodriguez

Ramon Antonio Emilio Cruz Rodriguez 74 years old from the Dominican Republic, who was a resident of the United States for the last 48 years, passed due to natural causes and went to join our Lord on July 12, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Norma Cruz Santiago, and his four children, Wellington Cruz of New York City, New York, Jeannette Cruz-Elledge of Greenville, SC, Gloria Cruz-Cruz of Greer, SC and Lennette Cruz-Massengill of Spartanburg, SC, along with eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchild greatly and were the joy of his life. His love of baseball led him to a career in professional baseball, which brought him the opportunity to come to the United States and meet his wife. He enjoyed watching baseball, fishing with his grandson, and sharing childhood stories from the Dominican Republic with his grandchildren. He felt joy whenever he was cooking for his family and friends and offering a helping hand and plate of food to whoever he met or needed it. His favorite times were during the holidays when he could have his family together enjoying good food, stories, music, and laughs with him. His funny stories of childhood, his giving heart, and the pride he had for his grandchildren and great-grandchild will always be remembered. He will be deeply and dearly missed and will always be remembered and loved. Psalm 23: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

The family has chosen to have a private, family viewing on Friday, July 15th, and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Harvest Hope Food Bank at 2818 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.
