Allen Devall, 56, of Greenville died peacefully at home in his “Man Cave” Monday, August 14, 2017. Born Monday, February 6, 1961 to Tony Devall & Jean Davenport Atwell, “Papa” will be remembered by his grandchildren as adventurous, funny, caring, and the World’s Greatest Fisherman! He lovingly devoted much of his time & knowledge to them. Allen also enjoyed the outdoors, especially indulging in spirits with his friends & family around a roaring campfire. He was passionate about working with his hands, and was often referred to as a “Jack-of-all-Trades”. Although skilled in a variety of general construction & woodworking, Allen’s relatives suggest that his cooking talents were nothing short of 5 Stars! Entertaining came easily to Allen, and he will always be remembered as the “Life of the Party”! In addition to his father, Allen is preceded in death by his brother, David Atwell; mother-in-law, Sherry Sanchez; nephew, Brian Kiger; niece, Jessica Devall; and best friend, Roy Crane. Survivors include his mother; his lovely wife, Donna; his sons, Todd Devall and Chris (Elizabeth) Devall; step-sons, David (Felicia) Abercrombie and Joey Betzer; daughter, Tiffany Fletcher; brothers, Scott (Johna) Devall, Jeff Devall, Bundy (Tina) Devall, and Phillip Atwell; brothers-in-law, Kenny (Danae) Betzer and Mikey (Cynthia) Betzer; 10 grandchildren, Lexi, Kayli, Caroline, Hunter, Nikolas, Gavin, Titus, Alivia, Lincoln, and Jaiden; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held in the chapel of Westville Funeral Home, 6010 Whitehorse Road, Greenville, SC 29611 on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Please join the family as they celebrate the life of this wonderful and loving man
