Peter Teare

Peter Teare, Lover of cats (and dogs, birds and bugs), Maker of beautiful and quirky jewelry, marvelous cook and bicycle rider passed away November 29th following unsuccessful heart valve surgery. He was born in Artesia, NM and spent his early years in Kalamazoo, MI. He lived in Albuquerque NM for 42 years and moved to Greenville SC in 2021. He was an alum of the Albuquerque Youth Symphony, a graduate of the University of New Mexico Anthropology Department, worked at Wild Birds Unlimited, TLC Animal Hospital and finally Barnes and Noble.

He is survived by his parents, Ron and Diane Teare, uncle Larry Teare, aunt Christine Nitkowski, and aunt Sue Miller. Cousins Barbara Bowers-Camp and Valerie Miller and his two beloved cats, Doyle and Brynn.

Peter has requested that any donations be made to the National Humane Society or your local animal care facility

A celebration of his life will take place next spring in Kalamazoo Park where he and his childhood friends had all their marvelous adventures.
