Peggy Sue (Densmore) Browning loved the Lord, her family, and a good story. She was a loving and
devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and friend to many. She was born on December 15, 1947, in
Little Rock, Arkansas, to parents Virginia and Samuel L Densmore II. She died at the age of 75 on
Tuesday September 26, 2023, following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Peggy grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating from Nathan Hale High School in 1966. While in college at
Oklahoma State University, she met the love of her life, Gerald, on a blind date. They married in July
1969, and settled in Houston, Texas. In 1980, she moved to Plano, Texas, where she and Gerald raised
their two children, Jeff and Jennifer. Peggy always supported her children at school and could frequently
be found serving ice cream, driving carpool, sorting photos or styling mums for homecoming. She
dutifully attended recitals, performances, and sporting events (including way too many basketball
games).
Her most cherished times were those spent with Gerald. Whether taking long walks through the
neighborhood or in the woods of New England, traveling to a new and exciting location, enjoying a
romantic dinner together at a fancy restaurant, or sharing a glass of Chardonnay by a warm fire, she
never felt more secure and content than by his side.
Peggy’s beautiful smile and infectious laughter brought joy to countless friends and family. She leaves
behind a legacy of love, self-sacrifice, and a joy for living life to the fullest.
Peggy is survived by Gerald, her husband of 54 years, son Jeff and his wife Melissa, daughter Jennifer
Lockhart and her husband Scott, and four beloved grandchildren, Gillian, Austin, Ainsleigh, and Garrett.
Peggy is also survived by sister Betty Marsh and sister-in-law Cherri Densmore and their families.
