Peggy Alice Barbour

Peggy Alice Barbour, of Marietta SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ramona Barbour. She is survived by her husband of over sixty years, Carl Barbour; her daughters Melissa Barbour and Regina O'brien (Ricky); and great-grandchildren Landon and Jabin Weast.

Peggy was a longtime member of New Life Church - she was a woman of faith who proudly volunteered her skills as a seamstress to make costumes for many of the Church's Christmas plays. Peggy was an exceptional seamstress, known for making wedding gowns, dresses, bedding, clothing - if you could dream it, she could make it.

Peggy was the oldest of six children, and when her parents passed at a young age, she took on the responsibility of raising and caring for her five younger siblings. She loved her family and worked hard to provide for them.

Family beach trips and weekends spent camping were among her favorite activities. Each trip was like a family reunion, with many extended family members meeting up at destinations all over the country. Many a treasured memory was made on these excursions.
