Paul Michael Owen, known affectionately as Mike, was a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew him. Born on March 23, 1973, in Greenville, SC, he lived a life filled with love, adventure, and passion. On June 18, 2023, Mike passed away in Anderson, SC, leaving behind a legacy of joy and inspiration.
Mike was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Simpson Owen; his wife, Kristi Owen; his brothers, Danny and David Owen; his children, Ashlee, Rob, and Noah Owen; his granddaughter, Lily Kennedy; his son-in-law, Dakota Kennedy; and his niece and nephews, Tiffany, Tim, and the late Carter Owen. Mike's unwavering love and support for his family were the foundation upon which they built their lives, and his memory will continue to guide them in the years to come.
As an electrician for 20 years, Mike demonstrated his intelligence and dedication to his craft. His colleagues respected and admired him for his work ethic and his ability to bring laughter and light to even the most challenging situations. Mike's involvement in various associations within his field allowed him to share his knowledge and expertise with others, inspiring them to reach new heights in their careers.
Mike's free-spirited nature and sense of humor were infectious, drawing people to him and creating lasting friendships. He was a true fan of Metallica, often seen playing air guitar and singing along to their music. His love for playing the guitar was a testament to his adventurous spirit, and he was always eager to learn new songs and techniques. Mike's passion for the Carolina Gamecocks football team was unmatched, and he could often be found cheering them on with friends and family.
