Paul Joseph Carter, 55, of Hodges, SC was called home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2022, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Paul was born on April 15, 1967, in Asheboro, NC to Hugh Lavell and Lucy Goodroe Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers ‘Baby Boy’ Carter and Gregory Alan Carter.
Paul was a loving man, always ready to help others. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Paul loved Atlanta braves baseball, music, shopping, the outdoors, traveling, auctions and hiking.
Paul is survived by his love and best friend, Ruby Stocks. He is also survived by his son Christopher (Amanda) Carter, daughters Heather (Stephen) Holland, Meagan Carter, Christina Geiger, Hayley (Hunter) Griffin, Kimberly Peck; grandchildren Ava Lynn Carter Stewart, Athena Combs, Aurora Combs, Alyssa Humphrey, William Peck, Macie Peck, Connor Daylin Griffin, Alice Geiger, Ambrose McFadden, and Avah Hulsa. Paul is survived by his sister Dianne Carter Rogacki, and brothers Larry (Marsha) Carter, Charles (Doris) Carter, Hugh (Theresa) Carter, and Bobby (Mary) Carter and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
