Paul Eugene Banks

Paul Eugene Banks, widower of Maye C. Banks, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at his home in Greenville, SC, at the age of 84. He was born in Asheville, NC and was the son of Arthur and Essie Kilby Banks.

He is survived by his daughters, Paula Cook (married to Michael) and Teresa Kelley (married to Russell). And his sister Faye Banks of Greenville, SC. His role as a grandfather and great-grandfather brought him immeasurable joy. He took great delight in spending time with his grandchildren, Eli Cook, Charley Cook, Shanna Redding, Breanna Davis, and Tara Kelley. His great-grandchildren, T.J., Jayce, Aryanna, Anthony, Cayden, and Isabella were the light of his life.

Those who knew Paul will fondly remember his sense of humor and the laughter. His love was a constant, unwavering force for his family, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

In honoring Paul's life, we reflect on the lessons he taught us through his actions: to approach each day with humor, to cherish our loved ones, and to live with a spirit that refuses to be dampened. He will be dearly missed, but the essence of who he was will never be forgotten.
