Patrick Charles Hucker Sr.

July 29, 1921 — September 11, 2019

Patrick C. Hucker, Sr., 98, passed away Sept. 11, 2019. Born July 29, 1921 in Michigan, he was raised from infancy in Windsor, Ontario, Canada by his parents; the late Charles Patrick Hucker III and Katherine Devereux Hucker.
He was preceded in death by two amazing wives, Teresa Parent and Pauline Knight and son, Michael. Pat served in WWII aboard the USS Helm (DD388) in the Pacific Theater and was proud to receive his Quilt of Valor in November 2018. Not content with retirement in Florida, he founded Showcase Homes, a builder and developer in Broward and Palm Beach counties. He was president of the Florida Atlantic Builders Association and was
chairman of the Broward County Republican Party. Pat and Teresa moved to Pebble Creek Country Club in Taylors, SC to be near their three sons and he is survived by Pat Jr. (Diane), Gary (Judy) and Ken (Melanie); six grandchildren, Jason (Kristin), Devon (Will Smith), Sarah Pfeffer (Michael), Cameron (Chelsey), Caitlin and Corey; three great grandchildren, Hazel, Josie and Julianna; along with his special friends, Jimmy and Pat Knight and Missy and Rob Latham. A funeral mass will be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 20
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Greenville) with a private interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
Parkinson’s Foundation or Alzheimer’s Foundation of
American in memory of Teresa and Pauline.
