Patricia Kathleen Odum

Spartanburg - Patricia Kathleen Odum, affectionate known as “Pat”, a loving mother, grandmother, and
dedicated homemaker, passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on March 9, 1936,
in Derby, CT, to the late Emmett J. O'Brien and Estelle Walsh. Patricia was a resident of Spartanburg,
where she touched the lives of many through her caring nature and devout Christian faith.
Patricia's life was marked by the joys of motherhood and the love she poured into her family. Though she
faced the heartbreaking loss of her children, Tracey and Brittany, Patricia's love and strength persevered.
She is survived by her son Rick and five adoring grandchildren, whose lives she cherished and impacted with her kindness and wisdom.
Patricia had a passion for staying informed and engaged in current events. Among her hobbies, she
particularly enjoyed watching Fox News, seeking to stay knowledgeable about the world she lived in. Her
interest in politics and current affairs reflected her desire to be well-informed and contribute to meaningful
discussions.
Those who knew Patricia will remember her as a loving and dedicated woman, whose heart overflowed
with love for her family. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished by her loved
ones.
