Patricia (Pat) Harper McAbee, 79, died on Sunday, March 15, 2015. She was in declining health for several years and is now at rest with the Lord.
Surviving is her husband of 61 years, Harry McAbee, her son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Nancy McAbee, her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Ray Robinson. She is also survived by her brother, Johnny T. Harper of Blacksburg/Myrtle Beach, SC and his wife Linda. Also surviving are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Howard Business College.
After retirement from the SC DMV, she enjoyed camping in Maggie Valley, SC. It was one of her favorite places to be and she truly loved all of the friends that she met there over the years.
She was a long time member of Washington Avenue Church of God and in recent years, she attended the Tremont Church of God.
Recieving of friends with a memorial service following is planned at Tremont Church of God 2854 New Easley Hwy, Greenville, SC 29611 on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 2pm. Burial will be private at a later date.
