Patricia Anne Watson Hitner

July 27, 1941 — August 24, 2018

Patricia Anne Watson Hitner, of Greenville, passed away August 24, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Mattie Christian Morrison(mother), and Jack B. Watson (father). She was predeceased by her husband, Stuart Ivey Hitner, and a son, Mark John Hitner.
Survivors include one son, Christopher Ivey Hitner (Alison), grandsons Harrison Ivey Hitner (9),Colin Mills Hitner (6), and nephew Bryant Francis Christian Conant.
She attended St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Graduated with a Nursing degree from Pasadena City College of Nursing, earned a B.A. degree from Ottawa University, and M.S. degree in Anesthesia from the University of South Carolina. She served as President of both the SCANA and AANA in the 1970's, contracted with various medical facilities in the Greenville area, then retired as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist from St. Francis Hospital.
She was proud of her Achievements as Director of the Irish Children Program of Greenville SC. Lifetime volunteer for the church Alter Guild. And other miscellaneous public services.
She was dedicated to her family and friends, and her career goal in nursing was to make sure that every patient was comfortable.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church (910 Hudson Rd, Greenville SC 29615) on Tuesday, September 4th 2018 at 2 o'clock.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Greenville SC, or the Humane Society.
