Patricia Ann Smith Polk of Greenville, SC was called home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2022 at Bon Secours St. Francis hospital downtown surrounded by her family.
Patricia was born in Greenville, South Carolina on November 5, 1950 to the late Henry James Smith Sr. and the late Lula Mae Randolph Smith. Patricia dedicated most of her life being a homemaker, and raising her children as well as helping raise her grandchildren. Patricia loved cooking, coloring, and going to church. She was a devoted member of Word of Faith Baptist Church in Greenville, SC before a drastic decline of health.
Patricia was pre-deceased by both of her parents(Henry Sr and Lula), her brother Henry James Smith Jr., and her sister Shirley Phyneas Green, all of Greenville, South Carolina. She leaves behind her husband of 37 years Howard E. Polk of Piedmont, one son Reginald F. Smith of Greenville, three daughters Regina Y. Smith-Shumate (Kevin S.) of Greenville, Cherne P. Nesbitt(Ernest) of Mauldin, Antonia Y. Reynolds(Kevin R.) Of New York, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 nephews, all of Greenville, SC, as well as a host of other family and friends that love her, and will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 12p-2p. Home going services will also be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. both services will be held in the chapel where services are entrusted to The Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals.
