On Friday, October 8, 2021, Othniel (Neil) Leach, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 94. Neil was born on October 20, 1926, on the island of St. Vincent in the Caribbean, to Robert Leach and Genevieve Olton. He immigrated to Canada and trained as a welder. On August 14, 1954, he married June Patricia McConnie. They immigrated to the United States in 1968 and raised two daughters, Lynda Laura Clark and Lora Lee Braun. Neil’s greatest love in life was his community. Anyone he cared about whether friend, neighbor, or coworker became family. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and raising bees. He was known for his generosity and hospitality. Later in life, his greatest joy was spending time with his four grandchildren, Sydney Hannah Braun, Nolan Thomas Clark, Peyton Elizabeth Clark, and Noah Tyler Braun. Neil was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carl Olton; and his sister, Mary Williams. He is survived by his wife; his children; his grandchildren; his sister, Zena Gibson; his brother, Larry Bradshaw; and cousins, nieces, and nephews too numerous to name.
